amen and amen...we are told not only to "bear with one another in love" but if we say "we love God, but don't love our brother, we are liars"

we miss the mark, He forgives, we should humble ourselves and ask each other's forgiveness...we do blow it, we will blow it, what sweet grace that forgives and urges us to right the matter....

I appreciated your comments in this post. I note it was written nearly three years ago but it is still relevant. I found you post because it was automatically generated when I published mine yesterday. You might have a look. I believe we are experiencing similar frustrations.

I appreciate the article and the point you are making in it very much. This is a big issure because it is turning people away from the only hope they have.
First, we know what Jesus had to say to the Pharasees. He didn't think too much of them.
And we also know that self-righteous people are fooling themselves, since we haven't any righteousness of our own. According to God, our 'righteousness' is a stench in His Holy nostrils, in fact filthy rags.
Those of us who are the real thing: blood- bought, bible-believing, Born again Christians can best serve God by following His commandments, to love God with all our heart soul and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. If more "Christians" could do that, all of this nonsense would dissipate.
People have totally missed the mark here, as far as what Christ was all about, and He said that we would be known by our love for one another. I think the world must be laughing their behinds off right now. True brethren, let's unite, and show the world that there is a better way of life, and as my first pastor said "Just don't get all weird, Juliet". We don't have to get "all weird". Believe me, just loving Christ is enough to get you hated in this world, and in one of my articles you can read that it is enought to get you killed, too.
So if you really are a child of God, then let us honour the name of Christ by truly following Him, and not some flavour of the month or some spinoff, because "the way is narrow, and few are they who find it."
God bless you,
Juliet S.M.

In the 28 years & 7 months of Christian living (I surrendered my life to Jesus on 15 Jan 1980, at age 16) and 22 years of pastoral work (as associate and senior pastor), I have never found a message in the Bible, more significant, potent and & soothing than God's Love for man expressed through the Person of Jesus of Nazareth.

Salvation by Grace is Heaven's greatest intervention towards mankind and there can be no human response more humble, reasonable & spiritual than LOVE FOR GOD AND ONE'S NEIGHBOUR
