some thoughts

well, I am back. I went out to D.C. last week for a conference with a few people from Kairos. Never been to D.C. before in my life. The family and I used up our frequent flyer miles to fly out there together for a few days before the conference. It was a fantastic phenomenal trip.

we saw every imaginable monument, memorial, museum, etc that was possible to see in 4 days. Caleb & Elisabeth are the perfect ages to bring to something like that, because they were good from sunup to sundown every day without complaining.
It does feel sooooo good to be back in LA though.

Got back in time to speak at Kairos this last Sunday & we are doing a series for Lent right now — on the 7 deadly sins…

I shared this quote this last weekend– one of my favorite Dallas Willard quotes:

“First we must accept the circumstances we constantly find ourselves in, as the place of God’s kingdom and blessing. God has yet to bless anyone except where they actually are. And if we faithlessly discard situation after situation, moment after moment as not being “right”, we will simply have no place to receive his kingdom into our life. For those situations and moments are our life”
