1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD:
“LORD, save me!”
“It is marvelous that God speaks to us –life-giving, world-creating words. This marvel is matched by another–that he listens to us. His listening gives all our words significance and makes all our prayers personal.” E.Peterson
…he heard my voice. he heard my cry for mercy.
He hears me today. He hears (& responds) – to me.
That is the Good News that my soul needed to hear and press into early this morning, as the concerns of the day – came rushing at me.
may it be the same for you today
This makes your prayer-words, and any words you speak to God – significant.
dont forget that today.
